Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
