Nearly four and a half months following the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers manager, successor Danny Rohl faced reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task facing him is widely recognized, considering Martin's chaotic and disappointing four-month tenure.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss was joined by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned duo of football director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

But what precisely did we learn from the young German's maiden media outing as Rangers boss?

Rohl's Main Priority - Victory is Everything

A single message emerged clearly from Rohl's first appearance before the local press - he recognizes the need to win matches, and do so rapidly.

The previous manager Martin managed just 17 matches and four months as manager, so the question arose about how long the new man thinks is reasonable to transform the struggling team.

Although deftly sidestepping a direct answer that might create later expectations, the coach's communication was very evident.

"Hopefully very quickly," he stated. "This is essential.
"In football you have not much opportunity. You can discuss future plans but it's understood it's about the short-term and that period involves securing victories. That is my requirement.
"Another aspect remains clear - I need all players to understand our intended to perform. I return to my main theme: victory comes first, entertaining football and unity. If you follow this order, I'm convinced that I will remain very long at the club."

Pressure is Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to leave the stadium after his last game in charge.

We've seen how toxic situations can turn at sports teams when performances are poor. Protests have nearly become an expected part of the matchday experience on each part of Glasgow currently.

As the club's most youthful ever head coach, the inquiry asked about which attributes the coach thinks he has that would allow him to cope, let alone thrive, in one of the highest-pressure roles in UK soccer?

"I think expectations in football is normal," he stated. "One needs to understand that rapidly.
"I believe certain individuals could reference my age but I'm a decade and a half on this path. I experienced an excellent chance to work with the German club and be only an assistant manager, but I felt what it means to manage a team and the demands involved.
"When you start getting results and then some critics will say you need to play attractive soccer. That becomes the phase but that's exactly what I want. I enjoy that challenge and I look forward about the future."

The Sporting Director Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were numerous questions from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the hiring of his son as recruitment chief, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the position.

However, he justified and clarified the decision to recruit Thelwell Jnr to Ibrox.

"It remains uncomfortable to hear and optically I think we all agreed when we made this step to appoint Robbie that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell said.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to bring the top players here.
"My perspective on his professional path and situation is he didn't need family help in football.
"He's worked at Aston Villa as a senior scout, he then moved to Norwich City as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our hiring him, two top division clubs sought to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of the process was discuss with Patrick, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I remained extremely open and I think Robbie probably experienced a more rigorous process than anybody else employee by the team.
"What I do know is that he'll labor constantly to achieve success for this football club and I anticipate seeing him proving that he's going to be a valuable employee for Rangers."

Thelwell also defended the acquisition of forward Chermiti, who joined Rangers for an alleged initial fee of eight million pounds, having failed to find the net in 24 games for Everton.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portugal young international to Merseyside from Sporting - once more for large funds in a fifteen million pound transfer.

He was asked if he stands by his multi-million pound signing, who hasn't yet register in seven outings for Rangers.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker is a player who's got huge potential.
"I haven't questioned him in any way. Similarly, I think the manager will assist in get the best out of Youssef.
"These are initial stages for the young player, he remains promising prospect and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes require patience.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his time here he's going to prove that he's a very, very good footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Anger

Stewart was also facing scrutiny, given the criticism that has been directed his way by certain of the club's fans.

Additionally, there was a sign in the stadium during the last draw with United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before they were packed for him.

Like his football director, Stewart didn't avoid the topic.

"I totally understand the frustration and anger that the supporters are experiencing because performances this season haven't met good enough and no one is satisfied with those," he stated.
"The pain and frustration fans experience is mirrored inside the leadership.
"Also understand that there must exist an outlet for those frustrations and as chief executive, I'm responsible.
"I'm a focal point for such issues and my role as a
